Restoration of Suvorovs' manor is complete
The Interfax Agency, in particular, quotes Sergei Sobyanin: "Today, one of our unique monuments, the Suvorovs' manor, is returned to the city, which from a faceless building, smeared with eight layers of paint, turned in such a splendor that returned to us from previous centuries."
The mayor also expressed his gratitude to the Main Administration for Service to the Diplomatic Corps under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation for major efforts in restoration of architectural monuments in Moscow.
"They are one of the largest holders, if not owners, of assets. And very responsible at that. Every year, a number of unique architectural monuments are restored with the help of the Main Administration for Service to the Diplomatic Corps under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, expert architects and art restorers," underlined Mr. Sobyanin.
Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, in turn, expressed his gratitude to the government of Moscow, the Department of Cultural Heritage of Moscow for their efforts to preserve the cultural heritage sites.
The news agency points out that currently GlavUpDK is conducting restoration of four objects, and it plans to preserve, restore and adjust for modern usage above 20 cultural monuments until the end of 2018.
