Oman Culture Day

From the 16^th until the 19^th of September 2013 at the Cultural center of GlavUpDK the events within the frame of the festival ‘Oman Culture Day in Moscow’ took place, the management of which was the Ministry of heritage and culture of the Sultanate of Oman, with the support of the Embassy of the Sultanate of Oman in the Russian Federation. The guests of the Cultural center met the elegant charm of the Oman culture and its greatest achievements.

During the festival program a few exhibitions took place:

• traditional arts (shipbuilding, Omani dagger manufacturing, silver and jewelry manufacturing, textile art). The artists have shown their mastership right in front of the guests;
• Arabic calligraphy, which became the separate art, delighted the eye and soul of the people by its elegant beauty;
• ‘Welcome to Oman’. In the tent, decorated with the textile, arms and silver items, to the guests of the exhibition have been presented the basis of the henna usage and different variations of the body painting.

Popular art team has performed in front of the guests with the traditional program, which allows to get an idea of Omani musical heritage.
