International Women’s Club invites Muscovites to round-the-world travel
The yearly Winter Bazaar of the International Women’s Club has taken place at the Radisson Slavyanskaya Hotel with the assistance of GlavUpDK under the MFA of Russia.
The Winter Bazaar is the key event of the annual program of the International Women’s Club. The raised funds are spent on Club charity projects, such as assistance to poor families and sick children, in Moscow and Russian regions.
This year, 50 embassies introduced Muscovites to culture of their countries through traditional souvenirs, decorations, dishware, and food. Guests of the Bazaar could buy all that as season gifts for their near and dear.
More than 20 embassies took part in the cultural program – musicians and national dance collectives performed on the Bazaar stage. The food court treated visitors to freshly cooked exotic and European dishes.
A record number of companies, 450, provided gifts for the Bazaar’s charity lottery. The lottery also offered certificates for services of GlavUpDK’s affiliates, such as the Moscow Country Club and Zavidovo, and consultations provided by Medincenter specialists.
NB:
The International Women’s Club was founded in Moscow in 1978 as a non-political non-profit organization. The primary objective of the Club is to strengthen friendship and develop cultural relations between various peoples, as well as to implement charity programs.
GlavUpDK enthusiastically supported the Club in 1978 and has been rendering practical support throughout the Club’s history.
Traditionally, an ambassador’s spouse is elected Club president. In the season 2018-2019 the post is held by Mery Toganyan, the spouse of the Armenian ambassador. The Club has over 400 members. Club members are guided by the principles of cooperation, peace, and neighborliness in their activity.
