GlavUpDK Signs Memorandum of Cooperation with JSC UpDK Astana
Director of the JSC Diplomatic Corps Servicing Directorate Astana (UpDK Astana, Republic of Kazakhstan) Bakhytzhan Shengelbaev paid a visit to Moscow on March 21-23 at the invitation of GlavUpDK under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia.
At a meeting with GlavUpDK Head Alexey Izotov the sides exchanged the work experience, as well as discussed prospects for cooperation between the two organizations supporting the activity of the diplomatic corps in Russia and Kazakhstan.
Shengelbaev emphasized the special importance of cooperation with the Russian colleagues. “GlavUpDK under the MFA of Russia has accumulated a huge experience of effective work, and I am much honored to make my first foreign trip as the UpDK Astana director exactly to Russia, a country with which Kazakhstan historically has deep economic and cultural ties,” Shengelbayev said.
Alexey Izotov also displayed a keen interest in establishing mutually beneficial cooperation with JSC UpDK Astana, which in addition to its main functions to support operations of the diplomatic corps in the capital of Kazakhstan, promotes the attraction of investment to the country, and also implements a number of major projects, such as the construction of a new diplomatic town in Astana.
The two organizations signed a Memorandum of cooperation and interaction on the meeting results. The document provides for the development and implementation of joint projects with a view to strengthening economic ties, holding joint events and consultations, sharing experiences in specific areas.
During his stay in Moscow, Boris Shengelbayev familiarized himself with the work of GlavUpDK and its branches. He visited the Medincenter branch and highly appreciated the prospects for the implementation of the project to establish a Russian-Japanese medical center, saw the Dobrynya multifunctional residential complex, visited the Moscow Country Club, as well as the Reception House of the Russian Foreign Ministry and the newly renovated O.P. Korobkova’s mansion in Pyatnitskaya Street. The JSC UpDK Astana head also displayed a keen interest in the work of another GlavUpDK branch – the Inpredkadry company.
