5th Architecture of Diplomacy Contest gets over 700 entries from 36 countries

GlavUpDK under the MFA of Russia has closed the submission of entries for the 5th Architecture of Diplomacy Open Creative Contest. A record-breaking number of entries was received this year: over 700.
The contest follows the international format for the second time. Artists from Russia and 36 other countries, from professionals to young amateurs, have offered their pieces. The topic for this season is "The Matryoshka Doll—a Conversation of Ornaments and Colors." It has inspired artists to most unorthodox interpretations, from national patterns to philosophical musings on the connection between the external and the internal.
Artists, as well as students from universities, art schools, and colleges were among the participants. Although the contest does not allow artists under the age of 12 to enter, this year, the organizers received entries from creators that are even younger. Their enthusiasm makes us especially happy. We will welcome them again gladly in the future.
Presently, the entries are being prepared for the jury. The voting will be done in June. For the first time in history, there will be three contest categories:
• Child Artists (12 – 18 y.o.);
• Young Artists (18 – 35 y.o.);
• Author of Small Sculptural Composition: a new category expanding the contest boundaries.
Winners will get prize money and commemorative gifts from GlavUpDK. The official award ceremony will take place in Moscow. The time and the venue will be announced later.
