The 26th charitable Winter Bazaar of the International Women's Club of Moscow was held at Radisson Slavyanskaya Hotel on 29 November 2014. Some 70 embassies with the assistance of large international and Russian companies offered traditional folk arts and crafts, Christmas souvenirs, jewelry, porcelain and cut-glass wares, beauty care products, shawls, scarves and headwear, as well as pastry, tea, coffee and the best wines of their countries to the guests of the Bazaar.

In her opening speech, the president of the International Women's Club and spouse of Ambassador of the State of Kuwait Mrs Afrah Alfaddaghi expressed her sincere gratitude for support of this flagship charity event to all spouses of heads of diplomatic missions, all participants and sponsors of the Bazaar, including GlavUpDK.

Mrs. Svetlana Zhurova, First Deputy Chair of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the State Duma who attended the opening ceremony as the guest of honor also expressed her gratitude to all women who took part in organizing the event and invested not only their energy and time, but also a piece of their heart into the event. As Mrs. Zhurova said, it is the ability of women to unite that enables them to overcome all hardships and find common ground even in the most challenging times. Mrs. Zhurova also emphasized the unique nature of the Winter Bazaar that helped its visitors to get to know representatives of different countries, religions and cultures during one hour.

Just like in the previous years, in 2014 GlavUpDK actively supported the Winter Bazaar of the International Women's Club, having encouraged the involvement of its branches: Zavidovo Recreation Complex, Moscow Country Club and “Medincenter”. The Russian booth that offered products of the best Russian artists and jewelers was particularly popular among the guests of the Bazaar.

By tradition, the International Women's Club will allocate all funds raised at the Winter Bazaar among different charity projects of IWC in Russia.
