Presentation of Chukotka Autonomous Area in Cultural Center
A presentation of Chukotka Autonomous Area's economic and investment potential took place in the Cultural Center on June 17, with Deputy Foreign Minister Evgeniy Ivanov and Governor of Chukotka Vladislav Kuznetsov in attendance. Representatives of the diplomatic corps and reporters from Russian and foreign media were also present.
In his speech, Evgeniy Ivanov drew attention to the region's unique positioning, its natural wealth, tourist opportunities, praised its leadership's performance in developing contacts with foreign partners with the MFA of Russia's support.
Governor Kuznetsov introduced the guests to promising regional projects, unique logistics chains and tourist routes, and shed light on the region’s investment and tourist potential.
The guests had a chance to see expositions demonstrating regional socioeconomic achievements and showcasing its natural beauty and unique culture.
The evening's musical program featured: holder of the Steward of Chukotka title, twice finalist of the Zvezda international vocal competition, Chukotka throat singing virtuoso Vero Usholik; the duo of Lilia Omrytagina, lead singer of the Ergyron State Academic Chukchi-Inuit Band, and Aleksandra Sokolova, lead singer of Helikon-Opera under Dmitry Bertman (Moscow); Molozhe Cover Band (lead singer Olga Kondrasheva) and Atasikun Inuit Folk Band.
As the evening concluded, the guests were treated to Chukotka's inimitable delicacies and gifts.
