Participation in 2015 Trade Fair Denkmal, Moscow

On October 14 -  16, 2015 , GlavUpDK under  the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs took part in the 2015 International Trade Fair of Heritage Preservation, Restoration, Use and Promotion Denkmal, Moscow, one of the most recognized events in the field of heritage sites conservation.

Established by the Leipzig Fair in 1994 with the support of UNESCO, the annual Denkmal exhibition is held alternately in Moscow and Leipzig with the participation of the Moscow City Government and the Oberbürgermeister (Mayor) of Leipzig Burkhard Jung. This year the exhibition was held at VDNKh.

The GlavUpDK exhibition stand offered the public a detailed look at the latest repair and restoration projects carried out to renovate unique historic mansions operated  by GlavUpDK.

The GlavUpDK stand displayed the results of restoring the following unique federal and regional heritage sites and adapting them for modern use: 

  •  "Town Manor  of I. G. Naumov – A. S. Olenina – V. V. Dumnov, 18th-19th centuries. Main building  with rooms, early 18th century, 1816, 1894, architect I. M. Samarin", at: 5A/8 Maly Kislovsky Per., Bldg. 1, 2, 3, 4.
  •  "House of Meshcherskys, E. A. Volkova, N. V. Sorokoumovskaya, 1760s, 1823, 1880s, architect A. S. Kaminsky. Fence with gate, 1880s, architect A. S. Kaminsky" at: 4 Leontievsky Per., Bldg. 1.
  •  "Mansion of O. P. Korobkova with service wing and fence, 1894, architects L. N.  Kekushev and S. S. Shutsman", at: 33-35 Pyatnitskaya Ul., Bldg. 1, 3.
  •  "Mansion of A. I. Derozhinskaya on Shtatny Pereulok, 1901, architect F. O. Shekhtel", Building No. 2 "Service  wing and fence of Derozhinskaya’s mansion on Shtatny Pereulok, 1901, architect F. O. Shekhtel", at: 13 Kropotkinsky Per., Buildings 1 and 2.
  •  "Town Manor  of Suvorovs – N. I. Baranov – N. P. Gagman, 18th – 20th centuries,  technician – architect A. V. Krasilnikov, architect-engineer V. G. Zalessky: Main building  (bldg. 1), 1760-1769, 1st half of the 19th century, 1860s – 1870s, 1892. General A. V. Suvorov lived here from 1766 to 1800", at: 13 Malaya Nikitskaya Ul.
  •  "Town Manor, 19th – 20th centuries, architects S. A. Yelagin, V. A. Mazyrin, A. N. Zeligson: Main building, 1815, 1887, 1891, 1909. The renowned composer and theatrical personality A. N. Verstovsky lived,worked  and died here in 1862", at: 28 Khlebny Per., Bldg. 1.
  •  "Town Manor of G. A. Karataeva – I. V. Morozov, late 19th – early 20th centuries, architects A. S. Kaminsky, A. E. Erikhson, F. O. Shekhtel", at: 10 Leontievsky Per.
  •  "Town Manor  of P. A.Pavlov and N. P. Pavlov ("Joint-Stock Company organized  by I. I. Skvortsov"), 1905, architect S. S. Kuchinsky", at: 4 Glazovsky Per., Bldg. 8 (part) and 9.

  After visiting the GlavUpDK exhibition stand Sergey Sobyanin, Mayor of Moscow, in his speech at the opening ceremony emphasized the role of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in restoring architectural monuments.

On the final day of the exhibition GlavUpDK was awarded a special Certificate.
