Moscow Country Club hosts the first 'Pikeperch Ambassador Style' fishing tournament for diplomats

On October 10, Moscow Country Club (an affiliate of GlavUpDK under the MFA of Russia, location: Nakhabino, Moscow Region) hosted the first 'Pikeperch Ambassador Style' fishing tournament for diplomats.

The event continued the Company's long-standing tradition of introducing foreign diplomats to Russian culture and customs. Fishing has always been a staple of the Summer Diplomatic Games by GlavUpDK; now, it is turning into a standalone contest.

Diplomatic representatives of the Republic of Belarus, the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Chinese People's Republic, the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, Malaysia, and the Republic of South Ossetia competed in perch, pike, silver carp, carp, trout, salmon, etc. fishing amid a friendly, welcoming, and amiable mood.

The winner was decided by the total weight of fish caught. The DPRK team won the tournament with impressive 4.8 kg of fish.

Kazakh diplomats were the runners-up, while the PRC team rounded up the top 3.

Alexey Ostrovsky, Director General of the MFA of Russia, attended the event. Head of GlavUpDK Vyacheslav Fatin awarded the contestants with diplomas and commemorative prizes.

A rousing music band performance, creative master classes, and designer dishes by the country club's branch chef Vladimir Alekseev complemented the eventful day perfectly.
