A ceremony marking the 70th anniversary of Medincenter, an affiliate of GlavUpDK under the MFA of Russia, has taken place at the Cultural Center.
GlavUpDK Head Alexey Izotov congratulated the collective and veterans. He thanked colleagues for their work and read out greetings by Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov. “Over decades of impeccable performance, Medincenter has established itself as a leading healthcare and diagnostic facility of Russia providing the entire range of medical services. It has won respect of numerous patients, including employees of diplomatic missions, foreign companies, and media outlets working in our country,” the greetings said.
GlavUpDK awards were presented on the stage of the Cultural Center.
Honorary badges were presented to:
- Andrey Derzhavin, hospital surgeon, top-category physician.
- Lidia Ivanova, pediatrician of the Clinical Diagnostic Center.
- Svetlana Krasilnikova, head of the Financial Service’s payroll accounting sector.
- Lyudmila Chaplygina, therapist of the Clinical Diagnostic Center, top-category physician.

While congratulating the collective, Medincenter Director Vladimir Azarov noted the importance of cherishing and multiplying traditions created over 70 years of impeccable performance.
Former heads of Medincenter – Pavel Morozov, Ilya Buriyev, and Vladmir Vigdorchik – attended the ceremony as guests.
Medincenter was founded in 1948 by a resolution of the Soviet Council of Ministers. It is still famous for remarkable specialists, advanced medical technologies, and high service standards.
Medincenter has about 40,000 patients, both Russians and citizens of 142 countries. It can receive up to 930 patients per day. The collective comprises over 500 specialists, including merited doctors, medicine doctors and Ph.D., and specialists of the top and first categories.
Most doctors speak foreign languages. They communicate with their patients in English, Spanish, French, and other languages.
Medincenter includes the Clinical Diagnostic Center, the hospital on the premises of the Botkin hospital, the ambulance service, and the laboratory.
