GlavUpDK under the MFA of Russia and Moscow Kremlin Museums sign a long-term partnership agreement

The Main Administration for Service to the Diplomatic Corps (GlavUpDK) under the MFA of Russia and Moscow Kremlin Museums signed a Partnership agreement focused on popularizing Russia's historical and cultural heritage. The signing ceremony took place on October 16, 2026 in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Reception House – Zinaida Morozova's historical mansion on Spiridonovka Street.

The agreement, signed by Elena Gagarina, Moscow Kremlin Museums General Director, and Vyacheslav Fatin, Head of GlavUpDK,

strengthens the parties' cooperation in fields like exhibitions and public outreach. Its priorities lie with promoting Moscow Kremlin Museums' projects and spearheading initiatives that introduce the public, including foreign diplomats posted in Russia, to Russian culture and arts.

"From the bottom of my heart, I thank Ms. Elena Gagarina and her team for their partnership offer. To become an information partner of the 'Jacob Bruce. The Scottish Genius of the Peter's Age' exhibition project is an incredible honor for us. Introducing the diplomatic community to Russia's splendid historical and cultural heritage has always been among GlavUpDK's priorities. And we could not wish for a better partner than Moscow Kremlin Museums, the keeper of priceless heritage of our history and culture," said Mr. Fatin.

"We value GlavUpDK's commitment to introducing the international diplomatic community to our country's rich and varied culture, its history, arts, and traditions. For decades, Moscow Kremlin Museums have been popularizing Russia's historical and cultural heritage, with research, science, restoration, and exposition projects, along with a huge focus on exhibitions. I firmly believe that our partnership with GlavUpDK will open up new opportunities for culture dialogue and awareness of Moscow Kremlin Museums' projects," said Elena Gagarina.

The choice of venue was not random: Zinaida Morozova's mansion designed by Fyodor Schechtel and built in 1898 is a masterpiece of early Moscow Art Nouveau. Mikhail Vrubel contributed to the house's interiors: his drafts and panels have become an integral part of its inimitable mood. Handed over to GlavUpDK's predecessor in 1929, the house now serves as the MFA of Russia's Reception House. It has been the place for top level summits and momentous signing ceremonies for decades.

As GlavUpDK turns 105 this year, its partnership with one of the country's leading museums becomes a logical continuation of its mission to introduce foreign diplomats to the treasures of the Russian culture. The company manages over 130 Moscow mansions, including numerous cultural heritage sites. By preserving and restoring the historical appearance of those buildings, GlavUpDK also opens Russia's cultural heritage up to foreign diplomats.

The new partnership's first step is the information support for the 'Jacob Bruce. The Scottish Genius of the Peter's Age' exhibition project, to open at Moscow Kremlin Museums on November 13, 2026.

It has been the first major project focused on Jacob Bruce, an outstanding statesman, general, diplomat, and scientist in the service of Peter the Great. Bruce's involvement in peace congresses that culminated in the Nystad Peace Treaty and put an end to the Great Northern War is one of the exhibition's major points.
