GlavUpDK presents the Russian Heritage magazine

GlavUpDK under the MFA of Russia presents a new project, the Russian Heritage magazine — a space that unites keepers and connoisseurs of the richest cultural and historical heritage of our country.

The bilingual edition is intended for the widest range of readers, those interested in the culture and history of our country, as well as the professional community — both experienced and young specialists.

Vladimir Khutarev-Garnishevsky, Candidate of Historical Sciences, Associate Professor at the Moscow State Institute of Culture, member of the Presidium of the Council of the Union of Moscow Architects on Urban Development and Preservation of the Historical Environment, is the Chief Editor of the magazine. This issue was created by prominent cultural scientists, historians, writers, musical community and local historians – passionate professionals.

The author’s team offers to discuss art and history as equals – without admonishing, but with the preservation of all necessary and sometimes rare factual information.

The key agenda of the first issue of the magazine was the Year of Music declared in Russia in 2023, and the 150th anniversary of the great Russian composer, virtuoso pianist and conductor Sergei Rachmaninoff. You will really enjoy the article about the creative journey and history of Sergei Vasilievich, which is filled with family warmth, kind memories and endless love for music, prepared by Augustina and Anastasia Jürgenson, descendants of the music publisher Peter Jürgenson, who discovered the genius of many Russian composers.

The magazine will also give you the chance to meet the most authoritative experts from the world of art: Dmitry Bak, Director of the State Literary Museum, Gennady Drozhzhin, Chairman of the Board of the Russian Folk Arts and Crafts Association.

The right to open the heritage of our country to readers was given to the official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Maria Zakharova, who spoke about the role of the national culture in foreign policy carried out by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation.

And, of course, the theme of architecture and preservation of cultural heritage objects, which is close to GlavUpDK, is widely represented on the pages of this publication.
