A solemn reception to mark the 10th anniversary of Crimea's reunification with Russia was held at the Cultural Center

On April 5, a solemn reception was held at the Cultural Center of Main Administration for Service to the Diplomatic Corps (GlavUpDK) under the MFA of Russia to mark the 10th anniversary of Crimea's reunification with Russia. The reception was attended by Russian officials, heads of foreign diplomatic missions, as well as representatives of social and political organizations.

Sergey Lavrov, Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation, welcomed the guests of the event: "The situation with Crimea and Sevastopol was resolved – the peninsula became an integral part of the Russian Federation. I am happy to see that more and more foreign partners recognize and support the independent choice of the residents of Crimea and Sevastopol, their natural desire to speak their native language and develop their own culture."

Georgy Muradov, Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Crimea – Permanent Representative of the Republic of Crimea under the President of the Russian Federation, noted that the peninsula had always been inextricably linked with Russia, and the dream of several generations of Crimean people to return home came true 10 years ago.

Vitaly Suchkov, Head of the Department of National Policy and Interregional Relations for the city of Moscow, stressed that over the past decade there had been many positive changes in Crimea – the region was actively developing, successfully implementing major social, economic, transport and tourism projects.

The official part of the event finished with a documentary about the history of Crimea.
