Award ceremony for Moscow Restoration 2019 competition winners held in Moscow
The GlavUpDK of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs won in the category City Manor for the best organization of repair and restoration work at three cultural heritage sites: I.A. Mindovsky’s mansion with a wing and fence, 1903 by architect L.N. Kekushev, Mansion, 1906 by architect R.I. Klein, G.A. Karataeva’s - I.V. Morozov’s urban estate of late XIX century - early XX century, by architects A.S. Kaminsky, A.E. Erichson, F.O. Schechtel.
The GlavUpDK Chief Architect Denis Slizsky was awarded the laureate’s honorary prize by the director of the museum Kuskovo Estate, member of the jury of the competition Sergei Avdonin.
The jury, which included honorary restoration artists of Moscow, winners of the competition of previous years, restorers, engineers, architects and artists, had to assess the following sites: the Ensemble of the Miussky tram depot, the Building of the Laundry House of Narkomfin, Kievsky railway station, the City estate of G.A. Karataeva - I.V. Morozov, I.A. Mindovsky Mansion, Ivan Turgenev House, fountains Friendship of Peoples and Stone Flower.
A day before, the winners of the Moscow Restoration 2019 contest were awarded by the Mayor of Moscow, Sergei Sobyanin.
