On June 10, 2024, GlavUpDK under the MFA of Russia and the Food Map of Russia national project held the Russian Breakfast at VDNKh’s House of Russian Cuisine for members of the International Women’s Club of Moscow from 20 countries.
Led by the author and project manager Ekaterina Shapovalova, the friendly team of chefs of the Food Map of Russia acquainted the members of the International Women's Club with the most popular morning dishes of Russian cuisine - cottage cheese fritters, сrêpes, porridges, casseroles, scrambled eggs, representing the tastes of multinational Russia from Far East to the Arctic.
The best Russian chefs, promoting the food culture of Russian regions, spoke about the family breakfast traditions of the peoples and presented their modern interpretation. The ladies tried Tula krupenik with dandelion and rhubarb jam, cottage cheese fritters with seaweed and Kamchatka sockeye salmon, Karelian pryazhentsy with cloudberries, lingonberries and blueberries, cottage cheese fritters with cloudberry sour cream and dried moss from the Murmansk Region, porridge with wheat grains and cedar milk from Buryatia, cottage cheese fritters with nut butter and dogwood jam from Dagestan, Yakut dairy dessert kerchakh and other original and tasty dishes. The revived traditions of Russian tea drinking were presented by Kolokolnikov Tea from the Tyumen Region.
All participants in the Russian Breakfast event got a book of original recipes of the same name published jointly by the participants of the Food Map of Russia project and EcoNiva Group as a souvenir.
All dairy products for the dishes prepared at the presentation were supplied by the initiator of the Russian Breakfast project, EcoNiva Group.
